Competing at the Highest Level of Club Soccer
The University of Florida Men’s Club Soccer Team competes in the Southeast Collegiate Soccer Alliance (SCSA / NIRSA Region II). We’ve reached the national championship tournament 6 the last 9 seasons, including winning the title in 2018. Every season, our aim is simple — earn another shot at the national crown.

Meet Our Leadership
Co-President Cade McGlothlin
Cade McGlothlin serves as Co-President and is currently a junior majoring in Computer Science. Before joining UFSC, he competed for FC United in the Chicago area. He joined UFSC his freshman spring.
As Co-President, Cade is responsible for ensuring club eligibility with RecSports through active coordination with other members and compliance with RecSports. Helping oversees club operations, he heads the club’s skill evaluations, practices, and games. Along with Gil, represents UFSC in official meetings and relations with other clubs in the NIRSA league.
Co-President — Gil Zion
Gil Zion serves as Co-President and is currently a junior studying Media Production, Management and Technology as well as Business Administration. Before joining UFSC, he played for White Plains Youth Soccer NPL, in New York. Gil joined UFSC in the fall of his sophomore year.
Off the field, Gil is responsible for ensuring club eligibility and compliance with RecSports, and helps oversee club operations like skill evaluations, practices, and games. Along with Cade, he represents UFSC in official meetings and relations with other clubs around the country.
Vice President — Landen
Landen Petric serves as Vice-President and is currently an APK major on a Pre-med track. Before joining UFSC, he played ECNL for Palm Beach United during high school, later playing at the semi-pro team Palm Beach Flames. He joined the team in the spring of his freshman year.
As VP, Landen assists Cade and Gil with the tasks of presidency. This may include running practices, Representing the club for meetings with RecSports, effectively communicating with the team, and much more. Landen possesses a great love for the game of soccer, and hopes to share that with his fellow teammates.
Treasurer — Ross Lohmeyer
Ross Lohmeyer serves as Treasurer and is currently majoring in Finance with a focus in consulting. Originally from Vienna, Virginia, Ross played for Bethesda MLS Next during his youth career and joined UFSC in the spring semester of his freshman year.
As Treasurer, Ross manages the club’s finances, including collecting member dues, processing payments, and tracking expenses. He organizes fundraising efforts to support the club’s operations and ensures all financial matters are handled accurately and efficiently. Ross plays a key role in maintaining the budget and ensuring funds are available for travel, equipment, and events.

Skill evaluations are open to all UF students interested in joining the team. Bring everything you would need to play a full match, including cleats, shin guards, and water. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to check in before the session begins.

Involvement
Our Commitment to the UF and Gainesville Community
Supporting Other Gator Teams
We regularly attend and cheer on other UF club and intramural sports, building a stronger campus sports community.
Community Volunteer Work
We participate in local service efforts, including Keep Alachua County Beautiful, where we help maintain and improve public spaces.
Special Projects & Partnerships
Our members have aided Project CANIS and supported the Special Olympics in Alachua County, contributing time and energy to programs that make a difference.
