The University of Florida Men’s Club Soccer Team competes in the Southeast Collegiate Soccer Alliance (SCSA / NIRSA Region II). We’ve reached the national championship tournament 4 of the last 5 seasons, including winning the title in 2019. Every season, our aim is simple — earn another shot at the national crown.
Meet Our Leadership
President — Joseph Alberto
Joe Alberto serves as President and is currently a senior majoring in Biology on the Pre-Medical Track. Before joining UFSC, he competed for Armada FC in the U.S. Soccer Developmental Academy (USSDA) and grew up in Jacksonville, Florida. He joined UFSC his freshman fall.
As President, Joe is responsible for ensuring club eligibility with RecSports through active coordination with other members and compliance with RecSports. Helping oversees club operations, he heads the club’s skill evaluations, practices, and games. He represents UFSC in official meetings and relations with other clubs in the NIRSA league.
Vice President — Max Dearmin
Max Dearmin serves as Vice President and is currently a senior majoring in Mechanical Engineering. Before joining UF, he played for Palm Beach United ECNL and grew up in Hobe Sound, Florida. Max joined the team in the spring of his freshman year.
Off the field, Max coordinates with other teams, manages scheduling, and helps organize all logistics surrounding matches. On the field, he designs practice sessions, assists in matchday coaching, and helps set the game-day squad.
Treasurer — Will Rooney
Will Rooney serves as Treasurer and is currently majoring in Statistics with a minor in Business Administration. Originally from Boston, Massachusetts, Will played for the Boston Bolts during his youth career and joined UFSC in the spring semester of his freshman year.
As Treasurer, Will manages the club’s finances, including collecting member dues, processing payments, and tracking expenses. He organizes fundraising efforts to support the club’s operations and ensures all financial matters are handled accurately and efficiently. Will plays a key role in maintaining the budget and ensuring funds are available for travel, equipment, and events..

Skill evaluations are open to all UF students interested in joining the team. Bring everything you would need to play a full match, including cleats, shin guards, and water. Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to check in before the session begins.
